Treasure in Earthen Vessels

December 4, 2015

When Abba speaks through us He utilises our personalities and also unique experiences in order to reach people.

Abba is the water and we are simply the glass. Glasses can take all manner of shapes and sizes, some tall, some wide, some plain, some with decorative patterns etc. When an individual is thirsty it is not a glass that they desire, but the water. The glass is simply a vessel, a means for them to receive that which they need. At times they may desire a tall thin glass whilst at other times they may select the glass with intricate patterns, simply because it catches their eye. Then there are times where an individual does not choose the vessel through which they receive, but as long as it is filled with water, they are grateful.

We are Abba's glasses, each of different shapes and sizes, some with fancy patterns on the exterior, whilst some of us are plain. Yet ultimately it is not us that the people need, but that which we carry. Your glass may fit the hand of an individual better than others, your design may even may catch an individuals eye, however, in whichever way we are selected to minister, we know that it is only the water within that can satisfy he that thirsts.

Let us therefore be a well of living water, so that he who chooses to drink may encounter the Life Giving Spirit of God and never thirst again. Amen Xx

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV)

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:38 KJV)
